This was a very interesting concept for a picture book. It is about a little boy who is confused as he takes everything his mother says literally. He believes that there must be a cow under his bed as his mother tells him he has a cow lick every morning when he wakes up, etc. The story moves along at a good rate, and the child remains interested and amused. The illustrations are funky and cool and not the same old tired interpretations. Kids love it.
Additionally, the quality of the book is first rate, and can endure a child's care :-)
